String beans with sage – gnocchi

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 500 g beans (green beans)
  • Salt
  • 1 onion(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 2 sprigs sage, fresh
  • 4 tbsp oil (olive oil)
  • 500 g gnocchi
  • 2 tomatoes
  • pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes

Rinse and trim the green beans, cut them into pieces, and cook them in salted water for about 8 minutes. Peel and dice the onion and garlic. Rinse the sage, shake it dry, and pick off the leaves. Heat 3 tablespoons of olive oil in a large pan and fry the gnocchi. Add the sage leaves, onion, and garlic. Drain the beans. Wash the tomatoes and cut them into small cubes. Push the gnocchi to one side in the pan. Add the remaining olive oil to the pan. Add the beans and diced tomatoes, toss them briefly in the hot fat, then fold in the sage gnocchi and season everything to taste with salt and pepper.
