Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1 pork schnitzel
- 2 slices of brown bread
- 1 small egg(s)
- 50 g breadcrumbs
- 100 g cooked cheese
- 15 g butter
- some spring onion(s), finely chopped
- some oil
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes
Strobbes Classic
Coat the pork schnitzel in beaten egg and breadcrumbs. Then fry in hot oil until golden brown on both sides. Spread a generous portion of cooked cheese on the still-hot schnitzel and let it melt. Spread two slices of brown bread with plenty of butter. Top the bread with the cooked cheese schnitzel, sprinkle with some spring onions, and sandwich it with the second slice of brown bread. If you’re really hungry, try Handkäs mit Musik as a side dish. Or simply use two or three times the amount of cooked cheese. Apple wine is delicious with it.
