Stuffed baked kohlrabi à la Melly

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 large kohlrabi
  • 200 g minced beef
  • 1 small onion(s)
  • 100 ml cream
  • 150 ml tomato(s), pureed
  • 50 g cheese, grated
  • 4 tbsp tomato paste
  • salt and pepper
  • 1 cube of stock
  • Oil (garlic oil)

Working time approx. 45 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 1 hour 5 minutes

Low-carb

Peel and halve the kohlrabi and cook it in a pot with water and a stock cube. Meanwhile, fry the minced meat, spices, and onions in garlic oil. Add 2 tablespoons of tomato paste and fry briefly. Carefully hollow out the cooked kohlrabi, ideally using a teaspoon. Place the kohlrabi in a small baking dish and fill with the minced meat. Spread the hollowed-out pieces around the kohlrabi. Mix the cream with 2 tablespoons of tomato paste, the passata, and spices, and pour into the baking dish. Sprinkle the grated cheese over the kohlrabi. Bake for 20 minutes at 180°C in a preheated oven.
