Stuffed minced meat roll with ham and Gouda

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 1 kg minced meat, mixed or beef
  • 1 onion(s), diced
  • 2 garlic cloves, diced
  • 1 bread roll, soaked and squeezed
  • 2 eggs
  • 3 eggs, hard-boiled
  • 6 slices of cooked ham
  • 6 slices of Gouda
  • Spice(s), to taste
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour 30 minutes; Total time approx. 2 hours

Knead the minced meat with spices, salt, pepper, 2 eggs, a squeezed-out bread roll, onions, and diced garlic. Roll out the mixed minced meat on cling film to a thickness of about 1 to 1.5 cm, top with the ham, Gouda, and boiled eggs. Roll up from the longer side, press down firmly, and place seam-down in a roasting pan or casserole dish. Bake at 150°C (convection oven) for about 1 1/2 hours. In summer, we like to serve it with pasta salad or potato salad. It also tastes great sliced ​​with lettuce, cucumber, tomato, and remoulade or ketchup on toast.
