Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 12 sausages
- 6 slices of cheese (Edam)
- 24 slice(s) smoked belly, thinly sliced
- possibly mustard or ketchup
Instructions
Working time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Cut a pocket lengthwise into the sausages. Spread mustard or ketchup into the pocket, if desired. Cut the cheese into thin strips and fill the sausages with them. Remove the rind and cartilage from the smoked belly and wrap the stuffed sausages with them. If necessary, secure the belly with toothpicks. Place the sausages, cheese-side up, on a baking sheet and grill at 250°C for about 8-10 minutes.
