Styrian Sesame Rings
The perfect styrian sesame rings recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
- 500 g Spelled flour type 630
- 3 tablespoon Rapeseed oil 1
- 1 teaspoon Salt
- 250 ml Lukewarm water
- 1 tbsp Sugar
- 200 g Peeled sesame seeds
- 0,5 packet Dry yeast
- Knead all ingredients into a yeast dough.
- Let rise in a warm place for 40 minutes.
- Then preheat the oven to circulating air at 180C.
- When the dough has risen, cut balls from the proofed dough about the size of tennis balls, if you want smaller balls.
- Roll out each ball about 1 cm thick and use a glass to cut out a circle in the middle.
- And so on. Collect the dough from the cut out and roll it out again, cut out until the dough is all.
- Place the dough pieces on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
- Cover and let rise for another 5 minutes.
- Brush the dough rings with water and dip in sesame seeds.
- Then bake in the oven for about 15 minutes.
