Sunken Apple Pie with Secret.
The perfect sunken apple pie with secret. recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.
Sponge mixture:
- 160 g Butter at room temperature
- 140 g Sugar
- 2 Pc. Eggs
- 1 pinch Bio lemon zest
- 1 pinch Salt
- 200 g Sifted flour
- 2 teaspoon Baking powder
- 6 tablespoon Milk
- 6 Pc. Elstar apples
- Lemon juice
- Vanilla sugar
- Butter flakes
Apples:
- I had Elstar + gray apple.
- Beat the butter and sugar until frothy. Mix in the eggs one by one. Stir in salt + lemon zest.
- Sift in flour + baking powder, stir in, slowly add milk, the dough should easily fall off the spoon.
- Butter baking tray, pour in batter.
- Peel the apples, cut out the core, cut into thin slices, but do not cut all the way through.
The old lady’s secret:
