Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 75 g butter, soft
  • 175 g sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 175 g flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 2 tbsp breadcrumbs for the mold
  • 250 g currants, black or red
  • 75 g powdered sugar
  • n. B. Water (1 – 2 tbsp)
  • Fat for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

with coffee or as dessert

Cream the butter and sugar until creamy. Gradually stir in the eggs, flour, and baking powder. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Grease a 24 cm springform pan and sprinkle with breadcrumbs. Pour the batter into the pan, scatter the currants over the batter, and bake the cake on the lowest rack of the oven for about 40 minutes. Let cool slightly and then remove from the pan. Mix the powdered sugar with 1-2 tablespoons of water until smooth and spread over the cake.
