Super delicious summer lemonade with basil and lemon

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 liter of carbonated mineral water
  • 1 handful of basil leaves
  • ½ lime(s) or lemon
  • e.g. sugar or cane sugar, honey, …
  • 1 shot of juice of your choice, if desired

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes

Pour 1 glass of mineral water into a blender. Then squeeze the lemon or lime and add half of the juice to the water. Add 1 small handful of basil leaves to the blender. Purée thoroughly with a hand blender. If it’s too sour, sweeten with raw sugar, honey, or another sweetener if desired—I always drink it without sugar. Slowly add the remaining mineral water to prevent foaming. I’m very experimental, so I’m always trying out different variations—for example, using fresh peppermint leaves instead of basil, or a mixture of both. A splash of juice is also delicious—e.g., cherry, apple, orange, or mango juice—anything you can find at the juice counter.
