Super easy party baked ham

Spread the love

Ingredients for 8 servings:

  • 1 ½ kg pork roast (crust roast), cured

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

for celebrations or as a hearty lunch

Preheat the oven to 220°C. Score the rind in a diamond shape (careful not to cut into the meat) and wrap the roast in aluminum foil, rind-side up. Cured roast is usually flavorful enough and doesn’t need any further seasoning. Bake the ham at 200°C on the middle rack for about 60 minutes. Then open the top of the foil and occasionally baste the ham with the resulting meat juices. Continue baking the ham for about 40 minutes. After baking, trim the rind from the ham and cut the ham into thick slices. Serve with sauerkraut and fried potatoes, or simply on a bread roll.
