Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 400 g cheese (Gouda), grated
  • 200 g ham, cooked, finely diced
  • 1 cup natural yogurt (1.5% fat)
  • 1 small onion(s), finely diced
  • some herbs (frozen)
  • 6 rolls (souls), alternatively baguette rolls

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 10 minutes

Combine the first five ingredients in a bowl and mix by hand. Spread the mixture onto the sliced ​​ham and place on a prepared baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 200°C for approximately 10-15 minutes. Tips: One possible variation is to add fresh diced bell peppers to the cheese batter, or to replace the ham entirely with bell peppers (e.g., for vegetarians). The yogurt quantity may vary! If the cheese is relatively dry—i.e., already grated—you’ll need a bit more than if it’s freshly grated Gouda.
