Swede and potato mash

Spread the love

Ingredients for 6 servings:

  • 500 g swede(s)
  • 250 g potatoes
  • 150 ml juice, e.g. apple or peach juice
  • 50 g oat flakes (melted flakes)
  • 5 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • n. B. water

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes

Baby food from 5 months

Peel the swede and potatoes and cut into 1cm cubes. Place them in a saucepan and add enough water to just cover. Bring everything to a boil, then simmer over low heat until very soft. Add the instant mashed potatoes, stir everything together, and remove from the heat after 1 minute. Add the oil and juice, then blend everything with a hand blender. Add more water if necessary if the mash is not the desired consistency. This mash makes enough for 6 portions of 200g each and can be frozen. Please note: The instant mashed potatoes will thicken the mash, so you may need to add more water after thawing and reheating. If you want to serve meat with this mash, you can add a cube of prepared meat mash to each portion.
