Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 250 g butter
  • 120 g sugar
  • 400 g flour
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 egg white
  • ¼ cup sugar, coarse
  • ¼ cup cinnamon

Cream the butter, sugar, and egg until fluffy. Sift the flour with the baking powder and mix with the salt. Gradually stir the flour mixture into the butter mixture, then knead in. Shape the dough into a ball, wrap in aluminum foil, and let it rest in the refrigerator for 3 hours. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Divide the dough into three portions. Work with each portion one at a time. Remove only the required portion from the refrigerator and roll out on a floured surface to a thickness of about 3 mm. Cut out round cookies about 6 cm in diameter, place on a baking sheet, and bake until golden brown. Whisk the egg whites, brush the cookies with it, and sprinkle generously with cinnamon sugar.
