Ingredients for 1 servings:
- 1,000 g plum(s), pitted, weighed
- 750 g sugar
- 125 ml vinegar
Instructions
Working time approx. 1 hour; Cooking/baking time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 2 hours
Either put the pitted plums through a meat grinder or puree them with a hand blender. Add the sugar and vinegar and simmer everything in a large pot for about 1 hour. I always test for settling by placing a spoonful of jam on a small plate and holding it at an angle. When the jam runs thickly, it’s ready. Now fill the jam into twist-off jars and turn them upside down for about 5 minutes.
