Sweet and Sour Pumpkin

The perfect sweet and sour pumpkin recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 2 kg Pumpkin
  • 100 ml Vinegar essence
  • 2 l Water
  • 1 kg Sugar
  • 4 Cloves
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 0,5 tsp Cinnamon
  1. Peel the pumpkin and cut into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Make a brew from water, vinegar essence, sugar, salt, cloves and cinnamon and bring to the boil.
  3. Add the pumpkin pieces to the stock and bring to the boil. Cook until they are firm to the bite, this takes different lengths of time depending on the type of pumpkin, so give it a try.
  4. Fill into glasses with screw caps, pour the brew over them and close tightly.
