Sweet Apple, Carrot and Walnut Bread

The perfect sweet apple, carrot and walnut bread recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Spelled flour
  • 150 g Brown sugar
  • 1 tbsp Baking powder
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 tsp Cinammon
  • 0,5 tsp Grated nutmeg
  • 0,25 tsp Ground allspice
  • 0,5 tsp Ground ginger
  • 100 ml Apple juice
  • 75 g Melted butter
  • 2 Pc. Eggs
  • 1 piece Large tart apple, pitted, peeled and finely grated
  • 100 g Finely grated carrots
  • 75 g Chopped walnuts
  • 50 g Raisins
  1. Mix the flour, sugar, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice and ginger in a bowl.
  1. In another bowl, stir together the eggs, apple juice and butter. Stir into the flour mixture in portions. Knead in the chopped nuts, raisins, grated carrots and grated apple.
  1. Fill the dough into a greased and floured loaf pan and bake in the preheated oven on the middle rack at 180 degrees top / bottom heat for about 60 – 75 minutes.
