Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 2 dumplings (potato dumplings), cold
- 1 tsp butter or margarine
- 200 ml milk
- 1 egg(s)
- e.g. salt and pepper
- nutmeg
- 3 tbsp sugar
- 2 tbsp sour cream
- Sugar
- Cinnamon powder

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 25 minutes; Total time approx. 35 minutes
Recycling leftovers
Cut the dumplings into slices (approx. 0.5 cm). Butter a small baking dish and place the dumpling slices in it. Combine the milk, egg, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and 3 tablespoons of sugar, beat lightly, and pour over the dumplings. Sprinkle the sour cream on top. Bake in a preheated oven at 180°C (350°F) for 25 minutes. Serve while still hot (sprinkled with sugar and cinnamon). Tip: The tart flavor of unsweetened pear compote goes particularly well with this dish.
