Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 150 g rice, cooked
- 500 g minced pork (unseasoned minced meat)
- 1 egg(s)
- 30 g almond sticks, roasted
- 125 g pitted dates
- 1 tsp lemon zest
- 1 tbsp mustard, medium hot
- salt and pepper
- Oil for frying
- Breadcrumbs

Cut the dates into small cubes and place them in a bowl with the rice, ground meat, egg, and toasted almonds. Add the lemon zest and mustard, salt, and pepper, and mix well. With wet hands, form small, bite-sized dumplings. If you like, you can bread them; I always do half and half. Fry in oil for 10 to 15 minutes, turning all over.
