Sweet pancakes à la Maggie

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 1 egg(s)
  • 300 ml milk
  • 150 g flour
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1 packet of vanilla sugar or other vanilla flavoring
  • ½ tsp, leveled baking powder
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • ½ apple, optional
  • oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

In a bowl, mix the egg, milk, flour, vanilla sugar, salt, and baking powder into a batter. Add more flour or milk, depending on the desired consistency. If you like, use real vanilla instead of vanilla sugar. Fill a ladle about two-thirds full with batter and spread the batter evenly in a heated pan (26-28 cm) with a little oil, frying on both sides. Spread the finished pancakes with jam, Nutella, etc., as desired, and roll them up. Variations: 1.) You can also add a coarsely grated half an apple and a bit of cinnamon to the batter. 2.) Mix desiccated coconut or slivered almonds into the batter. 3.) Try adding candied lemon peel and succade to the batter, or even freshly grated lemon and orange zest. The sky’s the limit! Enjoy!
