Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 sweet potato(s)
  • 100 g flour
  • 100 g breadcrumbs
  • some oat flakes
  • 1 egg(s)
  • 50 ml milk
  • salt and pepper
  • Paprika powder
  • some oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

vegetarian

Peel the sweet potato. Cut the potato into six to eight equally thick slices, depending on the size. Whisk the egg with the milk. Mix the flour. Mix the breadcrumbs, spices, and oats. First coat the sweet potato slices in flour, then in the egg mixture, and finally in the breadcrumbs. Repeat if necessary. Fry the breaded sweet potato slices in hot oil until golden brown on both sides. Then cook the slices for 10 minutes in the oven at about 150 degrees Celsius (top/bottom heat) on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Serve with classic French fries and salad.
