quick and tasty
Grease a casserole dish or shallow cake tin with butter and dust with flour. Roll out the puff pastry in it, trimming any excess, and scatter breadcrumbs and hazelnuts on the base. If desired, add the prepared fruit to the dish. Mix the cream with the egg, custard powder, sugar, and a pinch of salt, and pour over the fruit. Bake in a preheated oven at 160°C for about 1/2 hour, then reduce the heat to 120°C and continue baking (for about another 30 minutes) until the mixture is completely set. Tip: You can use any fruit that tastes good. It just needs to be as soft as possible. Tastes delicious with apples and/or cherries, as well as pears (even canned).
