Swiss chard – vegetables

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 12 leaves of chard
  • 1 onion(s), finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped
  • 100 ml orange juice
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar
  • salt and pepper
  • some clarified butter
  • 3 tbsp sour cream

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Thoroughly clean the chard leaves and separate them from the stalk. Cut the stalk into approximately 1 cm long pieces and blanch for 3 minutes. Halve the leaves lengthwise, also cut into approximately 1 cm wide strips and blanch together with the stalks for another 4 minutes. Then drain, rinse with cold water and let drain. Heat a little clarified butter in a pan and sauté the finely chopped onion. After a short time, add the also finely chopped garlic and sauté briefly. Now add the chard and sauté briefly. Deglaze with the orange juice and simmer for about 5 minutes over medium heat. Season to taste with a pinch of sugar, salt and pepper. Finally, stir in the sour cream and serve.
