Ingredients for 2 servings:
- 500 g potatoes
- 3 tbsp butter or margarine
- 1 pinch of salt
Instructions
Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest period approx. 1 day; Total time approx. 1 day 15 minutes
Boil and peel the potatoes the day before. The next day, coarsely grate them using a grater. Heat half the fat in a pan and add the potatoes. Fry on the underside over low heat for about 20 minutes until golden brown. Lightly press the surface to ensure the potatoes stick together. Slide the potatoes out of the pan onto a plate. Add more fat to the pan and fry the rösti on the other side. Finally, season with salt.
