Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 5 large lemons, juicy, clean and untreated
  • 750 g cane sugar
  • 650 ml water, boiling
  • 30 g cream of tartar

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

delicious syrup for making homemade lemonade

Peel the lemons and place them in a jug or bowl with the sugar. Pour the boiling water over them, then squeeze the lemons into a separate bowl. Add the cream of tartar and stir well. Now add the juice to the syrup and stir well again. Let the liquid cool, then pour it into bottles. The syrup can be infused with any type of water; if you prefer a sparkling drink, you can later mix the syrup with mineral water instead of still water. Use approximately 2 tablespoons of syrup per glass of water.
