Tagliatelle with chicken and pear curry sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 2 servings of tagliatelle
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1 can pear(s), halves
  • 250 g chicken breast fillet(s)
  • 3 tsp curry powder
  • 100 ml water
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 tbsp oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Remove the pears from the can and cut into 1-2 cm cubes. Reserve the juice from the can. Cut the chicken breast into bite-sized pieces and marinate in oil, salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of curry powder. This can also be done a few hours in advance so the meat is well marinated. Prepare the tagliatelle as usual. Sear the chicken breast cubes in a non-stick pan until they look nice and golden all over. Deglaze with the water and half of the pear juice and simmer on low heat for about 6-8 minutes. Add 2-3 teaspoons of curry powder, pour in the whipped cream, and bring back to a boil. Season to taste with salt, pepper, and more curry powder, if desired. Finally, add the pear pieces and warm them with the sauce. Serve with the pasta. Tip: Instead of chicken, you can also use other types of meat or seafood, or add peaches or pineapple to the pears.
