Spread the love

Ingredients for 1 servings:

  • 1 ½ cup(s) sesame paste, from the jar (tahini)
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup lemon juice, freshly squeezed,
  • 1 ½ tsp salt
  • 2 cloves garlic, crushed
  • ¼ tsp pepper
  • Parsley, finely chopped
  • Paprika powder, sweet

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

goes well with hummus and pittas

Stir the tahini thoroughly before measuring, as the solid paste and oil will separate in the glass. Pour the tahini into a bowl, then add the water and lemon juice in a thin stream, stirring continuously. The sauce will often be a bit thick at first, but it will gradually become creamier and whiter. Season with salt, garlic, and pepper. Serve in shallow bowls and sprinkle with paprika and parsley. If it’s too thick, add a little more water.
