Tarte flambée toast

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 6 slices of toast
  • 1 cup of crème fraîche, approx. 200 g
  • 1 bunch of spring onions
  • 1 pack of bacon, approx. 150 g or grated cheese
  • salt and pepper

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Season the crème fraîche with salt and pepper. Add the finely chopped onions. Spread the bacon on the baking sheet and preheat the oven to high. Add the bacon to the still-cold oven and use the preheating phase. Don’t cook the bacon until it’s completely crispy! Remove the bacon halfway through cooking and chop or mince it. Lightly toast the slices of bread. Spread the onion mixture over all the slices of bread. Add the bacon on top and then place the slices in the preheated oven. Cook the slices of bread in the oven at high heat for about 5-10 minutes. Note: “only” 220°C will certainly work too.
