Teriyaki Sauce

The perfect teriyaki sauce recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 200 g Soy sauce
  • 360 g Water
  • 90 g Sugar
  • 40 g Honey
  • 15 g Sesame oil
  • 2,5 tbsp Strength
  • Sesame seeds if necessary
  • Some chilli oil if necessary
  1. Put everything in a saucepan and stir until the starch can no longer be seen, then let it boil on the stove while stirring constantly. If it is too runny for you, mix some more starch with cold water and add it, but be careful that it is not a jelly;)
  2. Rinse the glasses with hot water and add the hot sauce and seal. For me it lasts for 2-3 months.

Gluten-free tip

  1. Take a soy sauce declared as GF or the naturally fermented one from Kikoman, which is gluten-free even without a declaration and your gluten-free teriyaki sauce is homemade.
