Teriyaki-style vegetables

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 bell peppers
  • 3 carrots
  • 2 shallots
  • some sesame oil
  • 8 g ginger
  • 1 small garlic clove(s)
  • 2 tsp brown sugar
  • 5 tbsp mirin
  • 5 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sesame seeds

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Peel the ginger and garlic and chop very finely. Mix both with the sugar, mirin, and soy sauce until the sugar dissolves. Then add the sesame seeds. Wash, deseed, and thinly slice the bell peppers. Wash, peel, and slice the carrots. Peel the shallots and slice them into rings. Briefly sauté the vegetables in a pan with sesame oil, then add the teriyaki-style sauce and let it simmer.
