There are a number of foods that you absolutely cannot drink wine with.

Drinking wine, and alcohol in particular, should not be combined with anything fatty and spicy. We are talking about sausage, salmon, mackerel, pickled vegetables, and wasabi. For people suffering from gastritis or ulcers, such experiments can lead to health problems and exacerbation of diseases. It is necessary to monitor the dosage of alcohol: two glasses of wine will not hurt, but a bottle a day can lead to illness.

“With wine, as well as with alcohol in general, you can’t eat fatty and spicy foods: lard, sausages, salmon, mackerel, pickled vegetables, wasabi, a seasoning used with sushi. In people with chronic diseases such as gastritis or ulcers, these foods can cause exacerbations. The combination of alcohol and fatty foods often leads to acute pancreatitis. The patient has to be hospitalized and, moreover, treated for pancreatic necrosis (a diagnosis that is tissue necrosis and can only be treated surgically),” the doctor says.

She also emphasized that people should not get too carried away with alcohol. To avoid diseases, you can drink 1-2 glasses of wine a day. However, a bottle of wine a day, without any snacks, can be a sure way to pancreatitis, gastritis, or ulcers.
