Thick noodles with apple sauce

Spread the love

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 500 g tagliatelle wide, thick
  • 500 g applesauce
  • breadcrumbs
  • butter

Instructions

Working time approx. 5 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 25 minutes

Grandma Ella’s style

Cook the pasta according to the instructions and drain. Melt the butter in a large pan (the pasta should still fit in it later) and toast the breadcrumbs. Once browned and slightly crispy (depending on taste), add the pasta and fry briefly. Transfer the pasta to a plate and drizzle with applesauce. If you like, you can also sprinkle a bit of cinnamon on top. It’s also great as a dessert. As a child, I could never get enough of it at my grandma’s. And even today, my friends always talk about “Grandma with the thick pasta with applesauce” whenever someone asks about her.
