Three kinds of fruit puree

Ingredients for 7 servings:

  • 500 g apples, mild
  • 500 g pear(s)
  • 2 bananas

Peel and core the apples and pears, then dice them. Place them in a saucepan with a little water (they shouldn’t be completely submerged, about halfway up), bring to a boil, then simmer until the cubes are soft. Peel the bananas, trim off a bit of both ends, then add them, sliced, to the simmered cubes and blend everything thoroughly, depending on the child’s age. (Children with teeth may prefer a coarser mixture.) Divide the mixture into portions, let cool, and freeze. Caution: Bananas can cause constipation and are only recommended for children 8 months and older. I tried the puree with peaches instead of pears, and they were very well received, but the child should have tried at least two types of fruit beforehand, especially if they are prone to allergies.
