We offer this not only at Christmas, but all year round
Beat the eggs with the marzipan or brown sugar until fluffy. Cut the butter into flakes and stir in. Mix the flour with the baking powder and stir in. Add the ground nuts. Shape into a ball and chill for about 45 minutes. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius. Roll out the dough on a work surface sprinkled with ground nuts. Flour works too, but I prefer to use nuts so the dough doesn’t absorb any more flour and the rolled-out cookies aren’t so dry. Cut out round cookies and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Mix the chopped nuts with the honey and spread them over the cookies. Bake for about 12 to 15 minutes. Once cooled, decorate the cookies as desired with chocolate coating.
