Ingredients for 6 servings:
- 150 g sugar
- 2 eggs, including the yolk
- 500 g mascarpone
- 200 ml whipped cream
- 28 ladyfingers
- 200 ml milk
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder (soluble powder for cocoa drink)
- 2 drops of bitter almond flavor
- Cocoa powder
Instructions
Working time approx. 30 minutes; Rest time approx. 3 hours; Total time approx. 3 hours 30 minutes
Stir the sugar and egg yolks until dissolved. Stir in the mascarpone. Whip the cream until stiff peaks form and fold in. In a bowl, combine the milk with the cocoa powder and bitter almond oil. Dip the sponge fingers into the mixture and let them sit for a while (longer than with coffee, as the milk doesn’t absorb as quickly). Line a bowl with sponge fingers and spread half of the mixture on top. Top with more sponge fingers, then the remaining mixture. Let sit for about 3 hours. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
