Spread the love

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 110 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 150 ml milk
  • 150 ml water
  • 4 bratwurst
  • 60 ml oil
  • Salt
  • n. B. garlic

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Yorkshire pudding with sausages

Sift flour and a pinch of salt into a large bowl and make a well in the center. Combine the eggs, milk, and water, then gradually add to the flour. Stir constantly until the mixture is smooth and lump-free. Add a little more garlic (crushed or granulated), if desired. Cover and refrigerate while you prepare the rest of the ingredients. Preheat oven to 220°C. Fry the sausages in about 1 tablespoon of the oil until they are nicely browned (they don’t need to be cooked through). Pour the remaining oil into a baking dish and heat it in the oven. The oil must be really hot, otherwise the batter won’t rise. Once the oil is hot enough, pour the batter into the dish, spread the sausages on top, and bake in the oven for about 20 minutes, until the batter is well risen and nicely browned. Delicious with salad, gravy, baked beans, etc.
