Toadstool Muffins

The perfect toadstool muffins recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

  • 250 g Butter
  • 200 g Powdered sugar
  • 6 Eggs
  • 100 g Sugar
  • 225 g Flour
  • 50 g Ground almonds
  • 150 g Cream
  • 250 g Lowfat quark
  • 1 tbsp Strawberry jam
  • Smarties to decorate
  1. Grease the muffin pan and sprinkle with almonds. Separate eggs. Beat egg whites with sugar until frothy. Mix the butter and powdered sugar until creamy. Stir in egg yolks. Mix the flour with the almonds and fold in. Spread in a muffin tin and bake for 45 minutes at 160 degrees. Let cool down.
  1. Whip the cream, mix with low-fat quark and fold in jams.
  1. Cut the muffing apart (best just cut off the lid), spread a tablespoon of cream on top, cover the lid with a little cream and spread Smarties on top.
  1. Bon appetit!
