Ingredients for 4 servings:
- 8 slices of toast
- 8 tsp mustard, sweet (e.g. Händlmaier)
- 8 tsp horseradish, hot (e.g. chef)
- 8 slices of Emmental cheese
- 8 slices of Leberkäse
- 1 pinch(s) sweet paprika powder

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 10 minutes; Total time approx. 20 minutes
Simple and fast
Spread the bread with a thin layer of horseradish. Top with Leberkäse (liver sausage), approximately 1-2 cm thick, as desired. Spread each with one or two teaspoons of Bavarian mustard and top with a slice of Emmental cheese. Place on a prepared baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 250°C (480°F) for approximately 10 minutes (or until the cheese has melted). Sprinkle with paprika, if desired.
