Toast: Black Knights with Butter Apricots

The perfect toast: black knights with butter apricots recipe with a picture and simple step-by-step instructions.

The butter apricots

  • 50 ml Cream
  • 1 tablespoon Cinnamon sugar
  • 6 Discs Baguette
  • 1 teaspoon Baking cocoa
  • 6 tablespoon Breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoon Clarified butter
  • 10 piece Apricots fresh
  • 3 tablespoon Raw cane sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Butter

The Knights

  1. Mix the egg with the cream and cinnamon sugar and turn the baguette slices (approx. 1 cm) in them until they are soaked. Then roll in breadcrumbs and sprinkle with cocoa.
  2. Heat the butter lard in a pan and slowly brown the baguette slices on both sides.

The butter apricots

  1. Stone and quarter the apricots. Halve the tonka bean. Heat the fruits and tonka beans with the sugar and butter and sauté until soft. The result is a creamy apricot sauce. Now remove the tonka bean again.

The finish

  1. Arrange the buttered apricots together with the baked baguette slices on a preheated plate and garnish with a mint leaf.
  2. Note 5: This simple meal also tastes very good with cold apricots. Of course, you can also stir the cocoa powder into the egg-cream mixture.
