  • 4 Discs Box of white bread or toast bread
  • 250 g Chicken liver
  • 1 tablespoon Clarified butter
  • 1 Knife point Yellow curry powder
  • Salt and pepper
  • 50 ml Cream
  • 1 disc Pineapple fresh
  • 0,5 piece Banana fresh
  • 50 g Grated Emmental
  1. Cut the chicken liver into small pieces and fry quickly in hot clarified butter. Season with curry, salt and pepper and deglaze with a little cream.
  2. Spread the liver on the prepared white bread slices.
  3. Cut the ananas and banana into small cubes and fry in the same pan. Spread on the chicken liver.
  4. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top and bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees until the cheese has melted.
  5. Serve on preheated plates with a little salad.
  6. Note 6: With this recipe – I had totally forgotten it and found it again while leafing through an old cookbook – I won a trip to Amsterdam 33 years ago at the Consumenta at the Dutch cheese stand. At that time I had to use Gouda.
