Tomato – bacon – sauce

Ingredients for 3 servings:

  • 2 onions
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 200 g bacon
  • 2 cans of tomatoes
  • 200 ml red wine
  • 1 vegetable stock cube
  • salt and pepper
  • oregano
  • basil
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Tomato paste

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Rest time approx. 1 hour; Total time approx. 1 hour 15 minutes

with spaghetti

Finely chop the onions and bacon and fry in olive oil. When the onions are translucent, add a little tomato paste and fry briefly. Deglaze with the tomatoes and press in the garlic. Add the stock cube, herbs, and red wine. Season with salt and pepper. Simmer for at least 1 hour, adding a little water if needed. Season again before serving.
