Ingredients for 3 servings:
- 1 can of tomatoes, peeled and diced
- 1 small onion(s) or 3 shallots
- 1 garlic clove(s)
- 1 cup of Cremefine, Creme fraiche or cream
- salt and pepper
- Herbs (basil, oregano, thyme, parsley)
- Olive oil, for sautéing
Instructions
Working time approx. 5 minutes; Total time approx. 5 minutes
the quick, slightly refined pasta sauce
Finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté in oil until translucent. Then add the peeled, diced canned tomatoes (fresh, skinned tomatoes work too, of course) and simmer for 5 minutes. Then add the crème fraîche, crème fraîche, or cream and simmer for another 2 minutes. Finally, season to taste with salt, pepper, and the chopped herbs (Mediterranean herbs are best). Serve the sauce with pasta.
