Tomato Crostini

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 large beefsteak tomatoes
  • 4 tbsp Parmesan, grated
  • 2 tsp pesto sauce from the jar
  • 1 white bread stick(s)
  • 3 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Wash the tomatoes and cut into small cubes, letting the juice drain slightly in a sieve. Stir the Parmesan and pesto sauce into the tomatoes. Cut the bread into 12 finger-thick slices, brush both sides with oil, and place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Spread the tomato mixture on the slices and press down lightly. Bake the crostini in the center of the oven preheated to 180°C (350°F) for about 8 minutes. Serve hot or lukewarm.
