Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 2 can/n tomatoes, pureed, (800 ml each)
  • 1 onion(s), chopped
  • 1 garlic clove(s), chopped
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp basil, chopped
  • 5 tbsp olive oil
  • Sugar
  • Salt and pepper, black, from the mill

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Pomodoro sauce

Heat the olive oil in a saucepan and sauté the onions and garlic until translucent. Add the tomatoes and cook the sauce for about 10 minutes, until some of the liquid has been reduced. Season with salt, pepper, and sugar. Remove from the heat and stir in the herbs. Serve hot. Any leftovers can be frozen in portions.
