- 2 tbsp butter
- 4 tbsp flour
- 1 tube(s) Tomato paste
- 300 g cocktail tomatoes
- Salt
- pepper
- basil
- ½ liter vegetable broth
- Sugar

Melt the butter in a saucepan. Whisk in the flour and mix until thick. Gradually add the vegetable stock and whisk until well combined. Add tomato paste to taste (some people need the whole tube, others only need half). Season with salt, pepper, and basil. Wash, dry, and halve the cherry tomatoes. Add them to the soup and bring back to a boil. Season with sugar, if desired.
