Tomato soup with pasta according to Grandma Josi

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 large onion(s)
  • 1 large garlic clove(s)
  • 100g bacon
  • 1 large can of tomatoes
  • 2 handfuls of noodles, small
  • 1 ½ tbsp tomato paste
  • n. B. Broth, granulated
  • Water
  • Salt
  • pepper
  • 5 lovage leaves
  • 1 cup of cream
  • a few stalks of parsley
  • 1 pinch(s) of sugar

Instructions

Working time approx. 20 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Cut the bacon into strips and the onions and garlic into small cubes. Fry the bacon until crispy, add the onions and garlic, and sauté briefly. Add the tomato paste and sauté briefly. Chop the canned tomatoes into small pieces and add them to the pot with the liquid. Fill the can with water and add it as well. Season with stock, salt, pepper, sugar, and chopped lovage leaves and simmer for about 1/2 hour. Meanwhile, cook the pasta separately. Finally, add the cream and pasta to the soup, season again, sprinkle with chopped parsley, and serve.
