Tomatoes stuffed with feta cheese

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 1 kg tomatoes, medium-sized
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Pepper, white
  • 2 garlic cloves
  • 400 g sheep’s cheese
  • 1 tbsp breadcrumbs
  • 1 tbsp parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp basil, chopped
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Butter, for the mold

Instructions

Working time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 15 minutes

Preheat oven to 200 degrees Celsius (400 degrees Fahrenheit). Wash and dry the tomatoes, and cut off the tops. Hollow out the tomatoes. Season the tomatoes with salt and pepper. Remove the stems from the tops and chop the rest. Finely chop the garlic, crumble the feta cheese, and mix with the breadcrumbs, tomato pulp, and chopped herbs. Fill the tomatoes with the mixture and drizzle with a little oil. Butter the dish and fill with the tomatoes. Bake on the middle rack for about 20 minutes.
