Tortellini in a rich cheese sauce

Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 800 g tortellini (any filling)
  • 200 g cooked ham
  • 250 g onion(s)
  • 100 ml sweet cream
  • 380 g processed cheese
  • 250 ml vegetable stock
  • some oil
  • 2 tsp pepper
  • 2 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tsp parsley

Instructions

Working time approx. 25 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 15 minutes; Total time approx. 40 minutes

Full-bodied, creamy, spicy

Cook the tortellini in a large pot of salted water according to the instructions. Once cooked, drain the water and leave the tortellini in the pot. Meanwhile, dice the onions and ham and fry them in a pan with a little oil until the onions are translucent and the ham has browned. Deglaze with the stock. Bring to a boil, stirring in the cream and cream cheese. Add the seasonings (except the parsley) and continue cooking until the sauce reaches the desired consistency. When the sauce is done, pour the sauce into the pot with the tortellini and stir. Divide among the plates and garnish each with a teaspoon of parsley.
