Tortellini in ham – cream sauce with peas

Spread the love

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 125g tortellini
  • 125 ml sweet cream
  • 1 tsp chicken broth granules
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste with garlic
  • 30 g peas, frozen
  • some pepper, from the mill
  • Salt
  • some sherry, medium
  • 2 tsp Parmesan, freshly grated
  • 3 slice(s) ham, cooked

Instructions

Working time approx. 30 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

Cook the tortellini in plenty of salted water according to the package instructions until al dente at most, drain, and set aside. Caution: Don’t add too much salt, as the chicken broth is already very spicy! Now add the cream, tomato paste, and chicken broth to the pot in which the tortellini were previously cooked and mix well. Add the cooked ham, cut into small pieces (or torn into small pieces), and the frozen peas and continue stirring. Bring to a boil briefly, add the pasta, and fold in well. Finally, add the Parmesan cheese to the sauce, mix well, season with freshly ground pepper, and serve very hot. Depending on how quickly the cream cooks down or the sauce thickens, add a little more cream as needed—the pasta should be coated with the sauce at the end! This is one of my favorite recipes because it tastes great and is also very quick to prepare (especially since it only requires one pot!!). It’s also great as a small lunch for children.
