Tortellini with turkey and bacon

Ingredients for 2 servings:

  • 250 g tortellini
  • 200 g turkey schnitzel
  • 50 g bacon, ham
  • 1 shallot(s)
  • 1 clove(s) garlic
  • 1 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tbsp rapeseed oil
  • 1 bell pepper(s), red
  • 100 ml tomato sauce
  • 100 ml cream
  • 1 tbsp marjoram
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder, sweet
  • e.g. salt and pepper
  • e.g. Parmesan, freshly grated or sliced

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 20 minutes; Total time approx. 30 minutes

with tomato cream sauce

Rinse the turkey cutlets, pat dry, and cut into strips. Dice the bacon. Peel and dice the shallot and garlic. Wash, trim, and slice the bell peppers. Heat the oil in a pan and fry the turkey strips, gradually adding the bacon, shallots, garlic, and bell peppers. Stir in the tomato paste and season with salt, pepper, paprika, and marjoram. Pour in the tomato sauce and cream and simmer over medium heat for about 15 minutes. Cook the tortellini in lightly salted water according to the package instructions. Drain the tortellini and serve with the sauce. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
