Ingredients for 4 servings:

  • 700 g beef sirloin, cut into 5 mm thick slices
  • 1 tbsp paprika powder
  • some salt and pepper
  • 250 g smoked bacon, thin slices
  • 2 tbsp lard

Instructions

Working time approx. 10 minutes; Cooking/baking time approx. 40 minutes; Total time approx. 50 minutes

Lightly pound the meat slices to retain their texture. Sprinkle one side of the slices with paprika, salt, and pepper. Roll them up lengthwise like small roulades and wrap them in the bacon slices. Heat the lard in a pan and quickly sear the roulades on all sides. Reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer over very low heat until the meat juices have evaporated. Then it should be cooked through. Serve with small semolina dumplings.
